Following the event, Tessa is in-and-out of consciousness in the infirmary and at one point witnesses Brother Enoch removing shards of metal that had lodged into Will’s back. Will threw himself on top of Tessa to protect her when the automaton was blown to bits (thanks to one of Henry’s inventions) and Will was badly injured as a result.
