If you love holiday romantic comedies, I think you’ll enjoy this.Ĭaroline Mickelson loves her family and loves to write. This is a fun, unique story, and I would love to read more stories within this world. While I did want a bit more from the plot with her and Declan in the midst of the conflict between senior citizens, I enjoyed the theme of preserving friendship and finding love during Christmas, with a bit of magical intervention. The romance itself was a bit less engaging, but I did like Marisol as a character overall.
It’s fun to see a world that imagines the world of Santa Claus and the North Pole with such amusing depth. Claus, and more, with the latter seemingly serving as the overarching thread of the series. I like how it focused both on the budding romance between Marisol and Declan and the shenanigans of the North Pole crew of elf Rapz, Mrs.
And despite it being seventh in a long series, to my relief, it works perfectly well as a stand-alone. I have never read Caroline Mickelen before, and was not aware this was part of a long series, however A Very Marisol Christmas sounded like a lot of fun.
